My Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Alleluia!  The Lord is Risen!  This is the Good News that the Church proclaims to all of humanity.  The resurrection is the foundation of Christian joy and hope.  With the resurrection of Jesus, we know that He is truly Lord and Savior of the world.  With the resurrection, He shows us that the way to life is through love and service unto death.  As Clavers, we must be the embodiment of Christ’s teachings through our service and love for one another. 

In an increasingly secular world with so many challenges to our faith, Claverism keeps us grounded in the faith, but only if we remain true to the tenets and precepts established by our founders through the works of our patron, St. Peter Claver.  Never in history have we been more connected to one another, yet the ills that divide us continue to flourish.  In this holiest of seasons, I encourage each of you to reach out to our sick and shut-in members, bring a lost member back into the fold, and, most of all, love one another.
