Saint Peter Claver Foundation

The St. Peter Claver Foundation (SPFC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which serves as both the charitable arm of the Knights of Peter Claver and as a private foundation serving the needs of the greater Catholic community. SPFC provides programs and projects to build strong communities in underserved areas. One of the foundations initiatives is the Youth Adventure Program. This program is aimed to uplift young people, especially those who have been labeled as at risk. SPCF is dedicated to engaging underprivileged youth in an intense program of service learning experiences, field trips, and new opportunities.


Soaring High - A Tutorial Program

Statistics indicate that most African-American students score poorly on standardized test and are, therefore, more likely to be poor academic achievers in school.

In response to the special academic needs of our children, the Knights and Ladies of St. Peter Claver continue to meet the challenge of offering programs to address the unique needs of our youth, thereby allowing them to achieve according to their potential.

This program provides tutorial assistance, after school homework assistance, mathematics, reading, testing, and other skills needed for academic achievement. This project is funded by contributions from the members of the organization. Individual donations should be make payable to the Knights of Peter Claver, clearly marked for the Soaring High Fund.


Social Justice and Human Development

Social Justice Sensitive to the needs of God's people and belief in human dignity and worth, the Knights of Peter Claver and Ladies Auxiliary provide funds to be used for humanitarian causes. The funds for this project are provided by contributions made by each Council and Court. Individual contributions should be made by a check payable to the Knights of Peter Claver and clearly noted for the Human Development fund. Grant applications for these funds are reviewed at the National Convention by an appointed committee, which makes recommendations for approval. Funds can be presented to organizations or individuals to promote and provide for humanitarian cause.


Sickle Cell National Project

The Knights of Peter Claver and Ladies Auxiliary give funds to victims of Sickle Cell Anemia and to institutions or individuals that provide research in the area. Funds for this program are provided by contributions from each member of the organization. Individual contributions may be made by a check payble to the Knights of Peter Claver Sickle Cell National Project.

 

Disaster Relief Effort

St. Peter Claver calls on us to answer the call to service, prayer, and support of our impacted brothers and sisters.

Contributions to the Disaster Relief Fund will go directly to our Order's members affected by natural disasters.
